Racism is the discrimination against a certian race. One race thinking that the other race is inferior. Back ,then when slavery was abolished, all black people were still discriminated because of race. Many white people lynched black people. But why did white people do it? Why did they hate black people? Well white people like having power. They like being in control. I'm not saying that black people don't like power, because we do. But we don't abuse our power.
I read a story about a man by the name Bill Key. He was a slave. Bill was born into and slavery. Bill Key once said, "I might not be free, but my mind is free." Bill has many amazing things. He asked his master if he could get a job with pay and he would pay for the bills for his master. The master happily agrees. Bill key gets enough money to buy himself out of slavery. But he wasn't about to just leave. He bought his master's land. This proves that Bill Key didn't care that his master put him into slavery, he cared that his master let him free. Bill then made more money and payed for his masters sons to go to Harvard. It goes to show: treat others with kindness even if they are rude to you.
Bill Key bought a horse. That horse was very special. He named him Jim.
